Review of Article

Julia Moskin, a New York Times Writer and author of Putting the Fresh in Refreshment uses very descriptive vocabulary for the subject of her article. The topic of her article is snow cones, and the different flavors and types of ice treats.

Moskin not only compares each different type of shaved ice technique, but also the different locations where they are found and the various types of flavors and flavoring techniques.

The author also compares the numerous types of ice blocks that are used in each of the unique machines.

Moskin not only compares the business side of this fun treat, but she also evaluates home machines.

The author also compares how various ethnicity's flavor and serve their treats.

This is a fun and vivid article. Moskin makes this simple topic stand out from the ordinary.

Even though this is an enjoyable article, I do think that she could have used a few more interviewees.

This is typically a small business venture; it was a little out of place to mention where to apply for funding. It might have been beneficial to have a separate article for small business financing. That subject within this article almost seemed out of place in such a light subject filled article.
